Terms & Eligibility

Last updated:

These terms govern the Cost Pilot early-access program and your use of the Cost Pilot website and application. By requesting access or using Cost Pilot, you agree to the terms below. Cost Pilot is operated by Cost Pilot, LLC ("we," "us").

Eligibility: Cost Pilot is currently invite-only and limited to sellers with 1,000 or more items sold. All applications are subject to verification and approval before access is granted. Submitting the application does not create an account or guarantee access.

1. Eligibility & verification

To be eligible, you must accurately represent your total number of items sold across the platforms where you operate, and that number must be at least 1,000. We may, at our discretion, verify the information you provide — including your seller profile, username/handle, store link, and sales history — before approving an account, and we may request reasonable additional confirmation. We may decline or revoke access if information cannot be verified, appears inaccurate, or if we determine access is not appropriate. Approval timelines are not guaranteed.

2. What Cost Pilot is

Cost Pilot is a data tool. It reads your own screen during live auctions and surfaces market information to inform your decisions. Cost Pilot is a neutral data feed — it does not tell you whether to buy or what to bid, and it does not place bids, click, type, log in, or act on your behalf. Every decision is yours.

3. Acceptable use

  • You will use Cost Pilot only with content and screens you are lawfully entitled to view.
  • You will not use Cost Pilot to automate, bid, scrape, or take any action against any auction platform or its servers.
  • You will not resell, sublicense, or share your access without our written permission.

4. Supported platforms

Cost Pilot is currently available as a Windows desktop application. A macOS version is in development and coming soon. System requirements and availability may change as the product matures.

5. Subscriptions, Miles & billing

Paid plans are billed through our payment processor on a recurring basis until cancelled. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of "Miles" — the unit Cost Pilot consumes when it identifies an item or reads a sold price. Miles are a consumable credit, not money; they have no cash value, and unused monthly Miles do not roll over unless we state otherwise. Members with an active subscription may purchase additional Mile packs. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the paid period, and the remainder of that period is not automatically refunded except as required by law or as described in Section 7.

6. Trials

Trials are free, time-limited, non-transferable, and granted at our discretion to selected sellers. A trial may be changed, paused, or ended at any time, carries no monetary balance, and is not refundable.

7. Account suspension, closure & refunds

We may contact you to verify your eligibility and selling activity at any time. We may suspend or close an account that does not meet eligibility requirements, was created with inaccurate information, or violates these terms. If we close a paid account for eligibility reasons — not for your breach or misuse — we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid balance, meaning unused Miles and any unused, already-paid subscription time, calculated on a pro-rata basis, to the original payment method where feasible. Misuse, fraud, or violations of these terms may forfeit this refund.

8. The information you provide

When you apply we collect the email address, seller profile name, username/handle, primary selling platform, store or profile link, and total items sold that you submit, along with basic technical information such as your IP address and browser. We use this to evaluate eligibility, verify applicants, contact you about access, and improve Cost Pilot. We do not sell your personal information. Our Privacy Policy provides further detail.

9. Early-access nature

Cost Pilot is in active development. Features may change, break, or be removed, and availability is not guaranteed. Pricing, plans, and program terms may be set or adjusted as the product matures; any such changes will be communicated where appropriate.

10. No warranty; limitation of liability

Cost Pilot is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. The information it surfaces may be incomplete or inaccurate, and you are solely responsible for your own purchasing and bidding decisions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cost Pilot, LLC is not liable for any losses arising from your use of Cost Pilot or reliance on the information it provides.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Cost Pilot evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to members directly.
